Used Pontoon Hulls

I called Chicago Pontoons to ask if they ever had used pontoon hulls available for purchase as I was having trouble finding one.  The owner asked about my intended use - a floating dock on a river suitable for boats with low freeboard.  He indicated he could build one out to my specifications with new pontoons and framework.  I gave him general specifications on length and indicated my desire for low maintenance.  He suggested I consider composite decking rather than the typical marine plywood and outdoor carpeting.  Chicago Pontoons located a source for composite decking at an affordable price that could provide lengths to suit my custom build.  As work progressed they made additional suggestions about attached fendering and fittings for further stabilization of the dock in the swift current river bottom..  They completed the work in a short period of time to allow me to make full use of my new dock during the boating season and at a price better than anything I could find through a pontoon manufacturer.
